Don't Forget Who Earned Your Freedom

Lest anybody dare to think that my absence from this site during the past week was related to my state of shock that America will soon be led by a man less qualified than my cat to lead the country, I must inform you that I had a much more important item on my agenda: I was in Quantico, VA attending my son’s graduation from Marine Corps TBS (aka Officer Training School).
x
While that alone was a momentous occasion that brings me immeasurable pride, the icing on THAT cake was that I also got to visit Washington DC and, most importantly, Arlington National Cemetery. As I stood mesmerized by the endless rows of graves, I dared to attempt to share the pain of the mothers whose sons are buried there but that proved to be an impossible task and a burden I humbly admit I am not strong enough to bear.

We were privileged to also have time to pay our respects to those whose ultimate sacrifices are forever honored by the Vietnam Wall, the Korean War Memorial, and the World War II Memorial and I encourage each of you to visit. I believe you, too, will leave humbled and ever more grateful for the service and sacrifice our Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines make every day of their lives.

Greetings from windypoo! I felt obligated to delete the comment made prior to this one, but only because it contained a very unfriendly amount of curse words. However, in the name of free speech (which my own sons and daughters fight for on a daily basis), I am giving you the 'PG13' version below:

"look b**ch if your sun [sic] decided to go to war to "protect us from the bad people aka terrorists that was his choice. And if he died, that i hope not, he died because he was protecting this f*ing country and you don't have to be b**ching about it. neither telling people that you are going to hunt them down. Cuz you will never know who's talking. Neither you have the right to say how's [sic] right and who's wrong.
So shut the f* up and keep living your live in peace.
B**CH (aka RACIST_B**CH)"

PS [From windypoo]: I'd like to note that this individual merely identified him/herself as 'Anonymous'. That alone speaks volumes louder than the foul language they spewed in their possibly constructive argument.
